The Blanket
I welcomed Kasie beneath my blanket and she uncovered the feelings I was hiding
This is a follow-up to The Towel (a personal favorite) and is the second time Jason and Kasie find themselves so close for pleasure, too close for emotional comfort.

I stretched on the sofa and turned toward the large screen, scrolling through Netflix to see what, if anything, I should catch up on. I missed a few seasons of Yellowstone, since that’s when Becki and I began crumbling after she found someone online… wait. Yellowstone. On Paramount? Hulu?
Hard keeping track of things. The digital world had too many options.
Becki didn’t like Yellowstone anyway, so now I was free to watch what I wanted.
Her upbeat voice came from the hallway. “See you later, Dad.” Our daughter Anna was such a good kid, and despite the changes at home, she kept studying and had good grades in sight, and strong recommendations from her internship as graduation loomed.
“Going out, hmm?”
“Yeah. Movie. Drinks.” She beamed, and standing by her was Kasie.
“Good to see you, Mr. –”
I laughed. “Oh, so formal.”
“Good to see you, Jason. See you later.” She waved and headed out the door with Anna.
And my heart went with her.

Oh, how she lay on the beach blanket and looked so inviting.
That was then, and we returned home, and this is now. Forget the TV. Relive the memories.
My mind went speeding once again into our resort room, and thoughts of holding her with my mouth firm against hers, and my hands exploring the curves of her breasts and ass. But what drew me was the sweetness of her smile and her gaze, which seemed like a healing balm for the relational pain I had endured.
