In the after hours of the club when the public wasn’t around, Max gripped the barbell that was held in place on the weight equipment and positioned himself so the bar and weights were resting on his shoulders. His knees were bent and his quads felt the tension of getting ready to blast through his anger and frustration. The opinion piece that he wanted to open a sex club and destroy the moral fabric of relationships in Maple Grove was maddening.
Why did Stan, a friend, let it be published?
At least Max wasn’t mentioned by name.
